I refer to metropolitan region
scheme amendment 1421, Brabham and Dayton urban precincts, released for public

(2) For each newspaper referred to
in (1), on what date was the advertisement published?
(3) Who received a written notice
containing the advertisement and when were these notices sent?
(4) Can the
minister confirm whether an extension to the public submission period has been
provided; and, if yes, what is the new closing date?
(5) Does the

Planning Schemes) Regulations 2023; and, if yes, will the minister
detail the actions taken by the commission?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question. The following response has been provided to me by
the Minister for Planning.
(1)–(5) The
amendment is currently being advertised for a period of 42 days from 5 July
2024 to 16 August 2024, in accordance with the Planning and Development (Region
Planning Schemes) Regulations 2023. This includes
providing written notice to the owners of land subject to the proposed
amendment, the City of Swan and
relevant state government agencies on 5 July 2024 and notice in The West
Australian on 10 July 2024 . The amendment, together with associated
information, is also published on the Department of Planning, Lands and
Heritage website throughout the advertising period. In light of the requests
for an extension of time, the department has extended the public submission
period until 30 August 2024. The department will also advertise the proposed
amendment again in The West Australian on 23 August 2024 and the Echo
News on 16 and 23 August 2024.
