In relation to the head contractor model of Homeswest housing maintenance:
(a) how many job orders were submitted by head contractors for payment by the Department of Housing:
(i) in 2010–2011; and
(ii) between 1 July 2011 to 30 April 2012;
(b) were all of the job orders submitted by head contractors for payment by the Department of Housing paid by the Department:
(i) in 2010–2011; and
(ii) between 1 July 2011 to 30 April 2012; and
(c) how many of the job orders submitted for payment by head contractors were not paid by the Department, and why were they not paid:
(i) in 2010–2011; and
(ii) between 1 July 2011 to 30 April 2012?

The Department of Housing advises:
(a)(i) 211 327 job orders were submitted by head contractors for payment by the Department of Housing in 2010-11.
(ii) 221 013 job orders were submitted by head contractors for payment by the Department of Housing between 1 July 2011 and 30 April 2012.
(b)(i) No
(ii) No
(c)(i) 148 job orders were cancelled, two job orders were returned to Head Contractor for more information, and 14 job orders had been completed by Head Contractor and were awaiting final authorisation by the Department.
(ii) 80 Job Orders were cancelled, 501 job orders returned to Head Contractor for more information, 57 job orders had been completed by Head Contractor and were awaiting final authorisation by the Department, and 172 job orders were returned by Head Contractor awaiting checking before authorisation is granted.
