I refer to the C-series trains, and I ask: (a) have there been any instances of train drivers quitting to due to the C-series trains; (b) if yes to (a), is the Public Transport Authority (PTA) able to quantify the number of instances; (c) if no to (a), does the PTA have any process to survey or receive comment from resigning train drivers; (d) if no to (a), has the PTA spoken to operators, shift managers, and other responsible persons to ascertain that this is correct, prior to answering this question; (e) have there been any instances of train drivers calling in sick because they have seen that they have been rostered on to drive a C-series train; (f) if no to (e), has the PTA spoken informally to operators, shift managers, and other responsible persons to ascertain that this is generally, without focusing on individual drivers, correct, prior to answering this question; (g) is it accurate that train drivers used to be made aware which train type they were driving the day before their shift, but they are now no longer informed due to the number of drivers calling in sick; (h) what is the current practice in terms of when a train driver is informed what train they will be driving ahead of a shift; (i) in relation to (h), are they informed upon attending their shift, or before; (j) in relation to (i), if before, how long before they begin driving the train; (k) prior to the change in rostering notice in (g), from 30 May 2024 to 30 May 2025, how many drivers have called in sick who were rostered the next day to drive each of the following trains: (i) A-series; (ii) B-series; and (iii) C-series; (l) have any train drivers refused to drive C-series trains; (m) if yes to (l), what is the policy in relation to this request - are train drivers' requests honoured, or are they required to drive whatever they have been allocated; and (n) if no to (l), has the PTA spoken to operators, shift managers and other responsible persons to ascertain that this is correct, prior to answering this question?
