I thank the member for some notice of this question. The Town of Claremont’s compliance audit return for 2007 reports that the town has breached regulation 12 of the Local Government (Financial Management) Regulations 2006 in that payments from the municipal or trust fund have not been made under the appropriate delegated authority. The Department of Local Government and Regional Development received the town’s compliance audit return on 31 March 2008 and is currently assessing these matters.
