I refer to Transperth bus services in the metropolitan area, and I ask: (a) will the Minister please identify the 10 least patronised bus routes in the metropolitan area, based on average weekly boardings for the calendar year 2024; (b) will the Minister please identify the 10 most patronised bus routes in the metropolitan area, based on average weekly boardings for the calendar year 2024; (c) are there any regular public transport bus routes which exist fully, or in part, due to payment made from a private entity (such as a business) to the Public Transport Authority; and (d) if yes to (c), what are they?

In numerical order:
(a)        223; 272; 273; 285; 294; 326; 534; 604. The 47 and 349 also form part of this list, but these only commenced in December 2024.

(c)-(d)  The owners of Midland Gate Shopping Centre fully fund the operating cost of the Midland Shuttle bus service; and the owners of the Karrinyup Shopping Centre fully fund the operating cost of the extension to the Route 425 bus service from Stirling Station to the Karrinyup Shopping Centre.
