submissions for RTTA funding were there for 2018/19; (b) of the submissions not approved what was the headline
title of each submission; (c) what are the names of each of the programs included in
the ‘Road Safety Events Program’; (d) will the research, policy and evaluation be conducted
by the Road Safety Commission or an external third party source; (e) what are the names of the groups the Road Safety
Commission will be conducting its partnership programs with; (f) when will the safety review of the Indian Ocean Drive
improvement works commence and when will it report back to Government; (g) who will be conducting the safety review of the Indian
Ocean Drive improvement works; (h) what will be the assessment framework of this safety
review; (i) when will the tenders be announcement for the speed
camera replacement program; and (j) what is the anticipated timeline for these tenders and

The Road Safety Commission advised the following:
(a) 44
(b) (i) WA Safety Truck; (ii) Future Service Delivery Model for Infringement Management Operations; and (iii) WALGA – Regional Run-Off Road Crash (Local roads) Sub-program.
(c) The Road Safety Events Program includes:
(i) Motorcycle Safety Week (November 2018);
(ii) Bunbury Research Forum;
(iii) Safe System event;
(iv) Bike Week (16 – 25 March 2019);
(v) The Wagin Woolarama (March 2019);
(vi) Caravan and Camping Show (March 2019); and
(vii) Road Safety Week (30 April – 6 May 2019)
(d) Aspects of the Road Safety Research, Policy and Evaluation will be conducted by the Road Safety Commission or a third-party.
(e) The Partnership Program includes Clubs WA, the Regional Road Safety Alliances and Forums, the Vulnerable Road Users Advisory Group and the Community Engagement Program.
(f) Improvement works on Indian Ocean Drive are still underway and will continue in 2018/19. The Safe System Review of Indian Ocean Drive noted that the safety performance of Indian Ocean Drive will continue to be monitored and further measures will be recommended as required on a priority basis.
(g) The Road Safety Commission with WA Police Force and Main Roads WA will continue to collect and monitor data on Indian Ocean Drive as required.

(i) There are currently no open tenders for the Speed Camera Replacement Program.
(j) There are no scheduled tenders and therefore no timeline for tenders and a decision by Government.
