Mr Murphy receives the additional $10,000 in recognition of the special demands of the position such as for the dislocation of absences from home, the extensive out of hours work and on-call availability. The allowance for this position was first established in 1997. (2) & (3) Mr Murphy's remuneration has been determined pursuant to Section 70 of the Public Sector Management Act that, inter alia, provides that the terms and conditions of Ministerial Officers shall be determined by the Minister for Public Sector Management on recommendation from the Director General of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. A copy of the EBA is tabled. (See Paper No. ) (4) Not applicable. (5) Level 6.4, $59,779. Mr Murphy's current cash salary is $96,326 per annum.
