CORONAVIRUS —
LOTTERYWEST CRISIS AND EMERGENCY RELIEF GRANT FUND
636. Hon JACQUI BOYDELL to the Leader of the House
representing the Premier:
I refer to the $159 million
Lotterywest COVID-19 relief fund and the Premier's announcement
yesterday regarding successful applicants.
(1) How many applicants were
unsuccessful?
(2) Please
provide further detail for (1) by detailing applicants by region and the amount
they applied for?
(3) Given that
the list of approved grants on the Lotterywest website from 28 April onwards
only adds up to $5.3 million for 61 applicants and the Premier claims to have
authorised $5.9 million for 70 applicants, who are the recipients of the
missing $600 000 and where are they located?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Between 30
March and 18 June 2020, 19 grant applications to the COVID-19 crisis and
emergency relief grant program were unsuccessful as they failed to meet the
grant program criteria.
(2) Lotterywest
does not publish specific details of unsuccessful grant applications. The
information for the unsuccessful applications for the COVID-19 crisis and
emergency relief fund by region to 18 June 2020 is set out in a table. I seek
leave to have that part of the answer incorporated into Hansard .
Leave granted.
The following material was
incorporated —

(3) Lotterywest
has approved 72 grants to 70 organisations between 28 April and 18 June 2020,
totalling a recommended amount of $5 976 000. These grants are published on the
Lotterywest website.
Will the honourable member just check
whether that gives her what she needs in answer to (3), and if it does not, I will
follow that up.
