In relation to section 22 of the Human Tissue and Transplant Act 1982 , I ask: (a) how many times in each calendar year since enactment, has a designated officer authorised the posthumous collection of gametes; (b) in each of those calendar years, how many of these authorisations have occurred following an order of the Supreme Court of Western Australia; and (c) in each of those calendar years, how many of those authorisations have occurred in the absence of a court order?

(a) This information is not reported to the Department of Health. The designated officers are appointed by the Executive Director, Public Health (EDPH) under the Human Tissue and Transplant Act which does not empower the EDPH to collect information on the activities on posthumous collection.
