(1) Up to the end of the March Quarter 2007, $15.38 million has been expended on investigating the extraction of water from the South West Yarragadee comprising of $13.3 million by the Water Corporation and $2.1 million by the Department of Water. This expenditure has delivered essential information for ongoing effective management of the groundwater resources in the South West including environmental and vegetation studies; social impact studies; monitoring bores; a test bore; pump testing and hydrogeological modelling. (2) None.
