Health—Radiation therapy services
172. Mr Liam Staltari to the Minister for Health:
I have a
supplementary question. The government can announce before the state budget
that funding has been allocated for the race track. Why can it not now provide
that same certainty for cancer patients in the north metro?

In terms of
announcements prior to the budget, that is a matter that the government makes
obviously in consultation with the Premier and the Treasurer. On budget day,
everything will be tabled for inclusion, and the member will be able to see it
and make any comments that he wants to at that time.
