I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following information has been provided to me
by the Minister for Corrective Services.
(1)–(3) In
the hours following Cleveland Dodd's attempted suicide, the minister
acted on available preliminary advice
provided to his office. At the time, the minister acknowledged that the
information would be subject to an internal investigation to establish a
more detailed and accurate account of events. The matter is now subject to an
internal investigation, coronial inquest and Corruption and Crime Commission
investigation.
