(1) The Public Transport Authority introduced the new SmartParker solution as a more efficient way for customers to pay for parking and also a means of ensuring that only genuine public transport customers use the Transperth station car parks.
The existing cash ticketing machines were re-distributed between stations, repositioned at existing paid parking stations and co-located with the new SmartParker machines to create a single pay station. Note that the preferred method of payment is SmartParker as it does not require customers to return to their vehicle; the system design is advantageous to passengers.
(2) There are adequate SmartParker and cash ticketing machines located at Transperth stations
