ROADS — FEDERAL FUNDING — MANNING ROAD ON-RAMP AND OCEAN
REEF ROAD OVERPASS
919. Hon MARTIN PRITCHARD to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the federal government's
funding commitments of $20 million to the Manning Road on-ramp and $20 million
to the Ocean Reef Road overpass. For each of these projects —
(1) What is the expected total cost?
(2) When is the project scheduled to
be completed?
(3) What is the state government's
funding amount?
(4) When is funding expected to be
received from the federal government?
(5) What is the timetable for the
state government's funding allocation?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) The estimated cost is $35 million
and $40 million to $50 million respectively.
(2) This is unknown at present for
both projects.
(3) State funding will be considered
in future budgets.
(4) This will be determined once
state budget allocations have been considered.
(5) Funding for
these and other road projects will be considered as part of future state
government budget processes in accordance with the determination of priorities.
