(1) What is the current inmate population?
(2) What has been the average inmate population
for the last calendar month?
(3) How many times in the last calendar month has
a cell contained:
(a) three prisoners, and
(b) four prisoners?

for some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me
by the Minister for Corrective Services.
(1) As of midnight on 19 May 2025, it was 1,232.
(2) In April 2025 it was 1,198.
(3) (a) In April 2025, the average number of
cells that contained three people was 79.
(b) As at April 2025, it was zero.
