The Western Australia Police advise the State Traffic Coordination & Enforcement Division review of all Police Districts identified that not all cars impounded under the "hoon" legislation were reported to them as at 4 September 2005. Subsequently an additional 18 cars have been identified, bringing the total number of cars impounded to 410 as at 4 September 2005. The following responses are based on 410 cars impounded. (a) 101 (b-c) 11 females 397 males NB. There are 2 occasions where the sex of the offender is unknown. The offenders left the scene before Police could identify or apprehend them. Further Police inquiries have failed to identify the drivers. (d) (i) 33 (ii) 64 (iii) 52 (iv) 51 (v) 175 (vi) 20 (vii) 3 (viii) 0 NB. There were 12 offences committed where the age of the offenders were not identified at the time this data was collected, or the offenders were under the age of 17.
