In light of the introduction of a parking fee at all train stations, I ask: (a) could the Minister please explain how a motorcycle/motor scooter commuter goes about paying a cash fare for parking at a Transperth train station; and (b) what is to stop a cash fare ticket being blown off the motorcycle/motor scooter, or being taken by another commuter?

(a) Patrons wanting to use cash to pay for parking their motorcycle/scooter are required to purchase a ticket at the Pay and Display machine and then display the ticket on their motorcycle/scooter.
(b) The onus is on the motorcycle/scooter patron to ensure that the ticket can be displayed. Motorcycles/scooter patrons are advised to use the new SmartParker system which avoids the requirement to display a ticket.
