ROE HIGHWAY STAGE 8 — CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
745. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Minister for Transport:
The government has just sent two
ministers to the backbench. Do government members think they have any right to
talk?
Prior to asking my first question,
on behalf of the member for Mandurah, I acknowledge year 6 students from Dudley
Park Primary School.
I refer to the ministerXXX ###XXXs
statement that he will be signing the contract for construction of Roe 8
between the freeway and Coolbellup Avenue by the end of the week. Will the
minister commit to releasing the contract for scrutiny once it has been signed?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the Leader of the Opposition
for the question. I will not be signing the contract; the Commissioner of Main
Roads will be signing the contract. It should be signed by the end of the week.
I will reserve my judgement on whether I will release the contract.
