POLICE — PRESUMPTIVE POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS
DISORDER LEGISLATION
1196. Hon PETER COLLIER to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer the minister to his response
to question without notice on 14 August 2024.
(1) What is the criteria for an
officer to be diagnosed with presumptive PTSD?
(2) What is the anticipated cost per
annum of presumptive PTSD compensation?

I thank the Leader of the
Opposition for some notice of the question. I have an answer to this question
but it seems to be the wrong answer. I have asked the staff member to chase it
up with the minister's office but we do not have a response yet. I am
not going to give it to the honourable member yet because it seems totally
wrong. If I get an answer before the end of question time, I will provide the
correct answer.
