1074. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the minister representing the
Minister for Science:
I refer to the State Space Agency of
Ukraine, which wants to build a space port outside the Curtin air base in the
Kimberley.
(1) Are negotiations ongoing?
(2) What are the prospects for this
project going ahead?
(3) Has a feasibility study been
conducted or is one being conducted?
(4) What would be the time frame for
this project if it were to go ahead?

The Minister for Science has provided the following response.
(1) The State
Space Agency of Ukraine has not presented a proposal to the state government
about its plans to build a space port.
(2)–(4) Not applicable.
