(1) Where have by-products and composting material been diverted to offsite during times of plant failure or bad odour emissions?
(2) Are these offsite locations monitored by the DEP?
(3) If yes, how often was each site monitored and what form did the monitoring take?

(b) Compostable material (paunch contents and animal manure) is currently being directed to 'Lakeside', a property on Old Coast Road, Myalup owned by EG Greens and Sons. This material was previously disposed of to a property on Crampton Road, Harvey. (2) (a) Yes. Talloman is licensed premises under the Environmental Protection Act 1986, administered by the DEP. (b) Yes. DEP officers have visited 'Lakeside' on two occasions. The site is not a prescribed premises, as the material is being used for soil amendment. (3) (a) DEP officers conduct routine licence inspections of Talloman at least once per year, and conduct random visits in response to any complaints received. (b) DEP officers have visited 'Lakeside' on two occasions, one in June 2001 (before material was brought onto the site) and in July 2001, to assess how the material was being managed. EG Green and Sons are currently finalising a Management Plan for the disposal of this material on this site.
