I refer to potential irrigation projects in the
Kimberley, and I ask: (a) is the Minister and/or the Department of Agriculture and Food (DAF) aware of any proposals or concepts for irrigation in the Fitzroy Valley by Mr John Logan or any companies he is associated with; (b) if yes to (a), what is the name and nature of the proposal(s) or concept(s); (c) if yes to (a), will the Minister table all associated correspondence and documents; (d) if no to (c), why not; (e) if yes to (a), is it true that the concept proposes to dam either the Fitzroy River at Dimond Gorge, the Margaret River or any other river in the Fitzroy Valley; (f) if yes to (a), what area of irrigation is proposed; (g) if yes to (a), will the Minister table all correspondence and reports associated with any concept or proposal; and (h) if no to (g), why not?

(a)    Yes, the Department of Agriculture and Food is aware that during the late 1990s and early 2000s, there was an irrigation proposal in the Fitzroy Valley by Mr John Logan. I understand that any correspondence would have been between Mr Logan and the Department of State Development.
(b-h)  These further questions should therefore be referred to the Minister for State Development.
