ST IVES MURDOCH RETIREMENT VILLAGE — INVESTIGATION
1343. Hon KATE DOUST to the Minister for
Commerce:
I refer to resident complaints referred by the Premier to the Department
of Commerce in March 2016 about the St Ives Murdoch retirement village.
(1) Can the minister confirm that the
department met with several residents regarding these complaints in April 2016?
(2) Since this meeting —
(a) have the complaints been investigated further;
(b) has the investigation been completed;
and, if yes, what was the outcome of the investigation; and
(c) has this outcome been communicated to
the complainants and to the owners and managers of St Ives Murdoch retirement
village?
(3) What action will the department take in relation to these
complaints?
(4) Will the minister table the investigation report; and, if not, why
not?

is under consideration. The Department of Commerce Consumer Protection Division's
