(a) The first Action Plan for the 10-Year Strategy on Homelessness 2020-2030 (the Strategy) will be completed in the coming months.
(b) The Department of Communities (Communities) has lead responsibility for the Action Plan and is working closely with key government agencies and the community sector on its development.
(c) The first Action Plan will cover the first five years of the Strategy.
(d) The $71.8 million in new funding has been allocated for specific initiatives to be implemented during the first five years of the Strategy. Funding for additional activities in the first Action Plan will be determined by individual agencies and may be considered in future budget processes.
(e) It is anticipated that the second Action Plan will be completed and released in the last quarter of 2025.
(f) Communities will have lead responsibility for developing the second Action Plan.
(g) The second Action Plan will cover the remaining years of the Strategy from 2026 to 2030.
