3. The facility has an 8 bed capacity with an average of 5 residents. 4. The current ratio is deemed appropriate. The minimum ratio is 2 staff to 8 residents. This ratio is primarily the night shift ratio for all Hostels, although the Kath French Assessment Centre has 3 staff on night shift due to its isolation from support services. There are 3 staff on am and pm shifts. During core hours Monday to Friday there is also a Team Leader and Social Worker on site. (Team Leader is contactable after hours). 5. To provide the requirements of the Equip Programme while ensuring the safety and security of residents and staff. To manage the relationships between the unit, the neighbours and the wider community. 6. Yes, each young person in care has a case manager who will visit periodically to support the young person. Occasionally a family member may visit. 7. Undertake case management responsibilities, participate in family contact and to provide professional services to children.
