I refer the minister to the Minister for Tourism’s press release dated 26 April concerning the refurbishment program for Rottnest Island. (1) How long will the no-booking period beginning 1 June 2006 last? (2) Will the no-booking period apply only to buildings under repair or to all accommodation? (3) If the no-booking period is to apply to all holiday units, will the minister explain the need for it? (4) How many units have been refurbished since February 2001, and at which locations? (2) The no-booking period applies only to buildings under refurbishment and/or subject to asbestos roof removal. (3) Not applicable. (4) The following refurbishment has taken place since February 2001: 28 Caroline Thompson cabins were refurbished in 2001; two F&G heritage cottages were restored in 2002; three EJH heritage cottages were restored in 2003; and 52 Longreach/Fays Beach holiday units were refurbished in 2004.
