I refer to the Minister’s response to Question on Notice No. 1661 in relation to the payment of monies to the law firm Minter Ellison, and ask:
(a) could the Minister provide a breakdown of the $13,794.09 paid to Minter Ellison for services provided to the Department of Education;
(b) in providing this breakdown, could the Minister also indicate the nature of the service for which the monies were paid;
(c) could the Minister advise when Minter Ellison was engaged by the Department;
(d) is Minter Ellison still engaged by the Department; and
(e) could the Minister provide the names of all Minter Ellison lawyers who have provided a legal service to, or legal representation for, the Department?

(c) Minter Ellison has been engaged by the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development on behalf of all State, Independent and Catholic education jurisdictions to provide consistent, independent legal advice on copyright matters since before 1995.
