WESTERN POWER — POLE-TOP
CLEANING
81. Hon Dr BRIAN WALKER to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Energy:
I refer the minister to a spate of
recent power outages caused by fires atop power poles.
(1) Does Western Power still conduct
pole-top cleaning on a regular basis across the metropolitan area?
(2) If yes, how
regularly is such cleaning undertaken, particularly during this time of year,
when even the lightest of rainfalls might reasonably be expected to cause
issues and outages?
