CORONAVIRUS —
RESIDENTIAL AGED-CARE FACILITIES
841. Ms M.J. DAVIES to the Minister for Health:
I
have a supplementary question. Has the flying squad that I referred to in the
question been deployed to all residential aged-care facilities; and, if
not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

Member, I do not have that
operational insight, but I do know that all residential aged-care providers are
keenly engaged with the Department of Health at the moment, including myself.
They are grateful for the level of support we are providing them and they are
grateful for the fact that the McGowan government has not forgotten them, like
the commonwealth government has forgotten them. We will continue to work with
them to ensure that all Western Australians,
wherever they may be in Western Australia, are looked after. Of course,
residential aged-care facilities in a lot of regional areas of WA are
run by the WA Country Health Service. Of course we are looking after those
people too.
