Notice of this question was given on 27 September to the then acting Minister for Planning and Infrastructure. I refer to the $1.5 million previously allocated to road works at the intersections of the Perth-Bunbury Highway that service roads to Singleton, Golden Bay, Secret Harbour and Madora. The works were confirmed as about to proceed as recently as July 2001. Have the road works since been taken off the program; and, if so, to where has the money now been allocated? Hon TOM STEPHENS

I thank the member for some notice of this question. Local residents were advised in July that $1.5 million would be allocated in the next two years to commence improvements at the intersections on the Perth-Bunbury Highway at Secret Harbour, Golden Bay, Madora and Singleton. Funds will be provided to meet that commitment.
