The Minister Replied:
Answer:
(1)-(2) Main Roads has concluded negotiations for TNC 1/99, and the contract has been awarded to BGC Contracting Pty Ltd.
Although the lease of the Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing depots was not part of the TNC arrangements, discussions with BGC Contracting on leasing these depots are continuing and a decision is expected to be made shortly.
These discussions are on the basis of a lease duration shorter than the TNC term. If leases are entered into they will be subject to separate lease agreements rather than being incorporated into the TNC.
