some notice of the question.
Yes. The member for Ocean Reef's
commitment was for the state government to take over responsibility for
progressing the marina's approval. The metropolitan region scheme
amendment is currently in abeyance while the Environmental Protection Authority
progresses the separate section 38 public environmental review for the
waterways component of the amendment. It is intended that the metropolitan
region scheme amendment and the public environmental review will be advertised
for public submissions concurrently. The government remains committed to
working with and providing guidance to the City of Joondalup to complete all
necessary approvals.
