(a) As at 22 May 2015 there were 248.7 full-time equivalent (FTE) child health nurses employed by Department of Health delivering universal child health services.
(b) Since 20 May 2012 to 16 June 2015, 91 new FTE child health nurse have been employed by the Department of Health and in funded non-government organisations.
(c) Yes.
(d) [See tabled paper no] for locations of new and additional FTE child health nurses for metropolitan Perth and rural Western Australia.
(e) The Department of Health has spent $31.22 million between 20 May 2012 and 16 June 2015.
(f-j) [See tabled paper no] for a breakdown of the percentages for requested assessments by region for metropolitan and rural Western Australia.
Metropolitan percentage of assessments completed is not available for all of 2014. Metropolitan regional boundaries changed across several months in early 2014 and full year totals for the new regions are not able to be calculated.Assessment percentages for new metropolitan regions are available from July to December 2014. In 2015 assessment percentages will be available at metropolitan regional level for the full year. Assessment percentages are not reliable or valid at the individual location level due to small birth numbers, significant fluctuation in birth numbers and the option for families to choose to access services outside their local area.
(k) [See tabled paper no] for a breakdown (by school) of the percentage of children who received their school entry assessment in 2014 for metropolitan Perth and rural Western Australia.
