FESA HOUSE
SALE
140. Ms M.M. QUIRK to the
Minister for Minister for Lands:
I refer to documents obtained through freedom of information
regarding the sale of FESA House to BGC, and to minutes from a meeting
involving staff from Landgate and LandCorp that state, ''discuss how the
transfer/transfers might be conducted to conceal the transfer value''.
Does the minister think it is appropriate that public servants involved in this
transaction canvassed how they could conceal the transfer value of the
property; and is it common practice in the minister's department for
staff to deliberately avoid being open and accountable?

AnswerView source ↗

I will have to take the question on notice about the
transaction that the member is talking about. But it is not common practice,
and it is not acceptable, that any transaction is done basically in any way
other than in an appropriate way and with integrity. I will have to do some
research on the issue that the member is talking about and undertake my own
inquiries and investigation about the issue raised.
