I refer to climate change protests undertaken in Western Australia and I ask: (a) What was the total cost to WA Police to date for the investigation, arrest, charging, and prosecution of people alleged to have been involved in the attempted protest during the Woodside Annual General Meeting on 28 April 2023; (b) What was the total cost to WA Police to date for the investigation, arrest, charging, and prosecution of people alleged to have been involved in the protest outside of the Woodside headquarters in the CBD on 1 June 2023; and (c) What was the total cost to WA Police to date for the investigation, arrest, charging, and prosecution of people alleged to have been involved in the attempted protest outside the City Beach residence of the CEO of Woodside on 1 August 2023?

The Western Australia Police Force advise that the agency does not capture the hours and costs assigned to investigations by individual police officers/staff given the nature and volume of policing activities across the State.
