URANIUM MINING — MULGA ROCK
219. Mr W.J. JOHNSTON to the Minister for
Mines and Petroleum:
I have a supplementary question.
Noting that the minister made a special remark in his media release regarding
the Mulga Rock project receiving recent approvals, can he confirm that Cheryl Edwardes , the wife of his chief of staff, Mr Colin Edwardes , is the chair of Vimy Resources?

The member is being very sneaky by
talking about a press release that I do not have in front of me. I know—because
I can remember what it was—that the bold lines at the bottom of the
press release mentioned four uranium companies and that the release was all
about where we are at in terms of exporting uranium. I mentioned the four most
progressive mines in Western Australia and one of those happens to be Mulga
Rock.
