GLEN IRIS GOLF COURSE
479. Hon BEN DAWKINS to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Planning:
I refer to the minister's
decision to approve a planning amendment to allow the development of Glen Iris
Public Golf Course in Jandakot contrary to the 9–1 vote of City of
Cockburn council and the signatures of 10 000 people presented to this chamber,
and confirm that Leanne from the local residents association has asked me to
pass on her thanks for the minister's staff meeting with the residents.
(1) Given that
the minister confirmed she met with the residents association that sits on one
side of this transaction, please confirm
when and how many times she has met with its opponents and WA Labor Party donors Eastcourt Management Pty Ltd?
(2) What portion of the $27 500 donation received from
Eastcourt was to obtain an audience, dinner and drinks with the minister
and other ministers at the Labor business roundtable function that WAtoday
referred to as a ''cash for access'' scheme?
(3) Is it true
that at a community cabinet meeting three years ago at Jandakot Airport, the
Premier said to the member for Jandakot, within earshot of the residents
association members, outside the meeting and whilst walking into the meeting,
and I quote, ''Don't tell me this is f-ing environmentally
sensitive''?
