(1) The privilege card for the Australind and AvonLink train services (known as the Transwa SmartCommuter Card) has been available for purchase from the start of October 2014 and available for travel from 1 January 2015.
(2) Cards are available by lodgement of the application form, submission of a passport sized photo and payment of the applicable fee of $60.00. No other specific eligibility criteria apply to the provision of the card.
(3) Cardholders receive a discount of $10.95 (35 per cent) off the standard adult one way fare ($31.25) between Bunbury and Perth on the Australind service.
(4) 91 cards have been issued as of 1 May 2015.
(5) 52 cards have been issued to cardholders with a South West region postal address.
