I refer to the more than 1,200 sites containing artefact scatters removed from the heritage register since 1 January 2011 and the answer to question without notice No. 679 asked of the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs in the Legislative Council on 16 June 2015 that states “the status of an Aboriginal heritage site or place can only change to ‘Stored Data/Not a Site’ through an assessment by the Aboriginal Cultural Materials Committee”, and ask: (a) will the Minister name the dates each of these sites were assessed by the Aboriginal Cultural Materials Committee (ACMC) and subsequently had their status changed to ‘Stored Data/Not a Site; (b) will the Minister provide the ACMC minutes where these sites were assessed and subsequently had their status changed to ‘Stored Date/Not a Site’; (c) if no to (a) or (b), why not; (d) if no to (a) or (b), were all these sites assessed by the ACMC before their status’ were changed to ‘Stored Data/Not a Site’; and (e) if no to (d), why not?
