(a) The Australian Urban Design Research Centre (AUDRC) [formerly Urban Design Centre of Western Australia (UDC)] is a joint initiative of the Department of Planning and The University of Western Australia. Its purpose is to focus academic and professional resources on improving the quality of urban places in Western Australia. The Department of Planning has paid the following amounts (all GST inclusive) to The University of Western Australia for the AUDRC/UDC:
1 November 2004: $55,000 - Establishment of UDC
28 February 2005: $220,000 - Grant for financial year 2004-05
21 February 2006: $220,000 - Grant for financial year 2005-06
2 April 2007: $220,000 - Grant for financial year 2006-07
23 May 2008: $220,000 - Grant for financial year 2007-08
20 July 2009: $220,000 - Grant for financial year 2008-09
