the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Education:
I refer to the Department of Education's stock of
transportable classrooms.
(1) How many transportable classrooms are
currently in use at public schools across the state?
(2) How many transportable classrooms are
currently available for deployment across the state?
(3) How many requests from schools for
transportable classrooms are currently awaiting allocation?
(4) What is the current average wait time
between a school requesting a transportable classroom and that classroom being
installed and ready for use?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of
the question.
(1) As of 31 March 2026, 3,025 classrooms
are on school sites.
(2) As of 10 June 2026, 25 classrooms are
currently awaiting allocation to a school.
(3) As of 10 June 2026, 68 schools have
applied for classrooms for 2027, with assessment of applications ongoing.
(4) The department does not centrally
collect this information.
