MANGLES
BAY MARINA DEVELOPMENT — ECONOMIC STUDY
1160. Hon LYNN MacLAREN to the
minister representing the Minister for Lands:
In a statement by the President on Thursday, 17 September,
the President quoted the Royal Commission into Commercial Activities of
Government and Other Matters, that —
Parliament is the primary
instrument through which the public should be able to obtain much of its
knowledge about the conduct of government in all its manifestations.
Further to question without notice 1145, I refer to the
minister's answer citing ''protocol'' as a reason for not
tabling a document.
(1) In view of
the President's statement, will the minister now table a copy of the
Mangles Bay economic study?
(2) If no to (1), please table the ''protocol''
to which the minister referred.

I thank the member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(2)
The economic impact assessment has been submitted to the City of Rockingham as
part of the local structure planning process. The use of the term ''protocol''
referred to the usual and appropriate practice, which is to give the city the
courtesy of time to consider the document and release it as part of the normal
advertising process, expected to occur in early 2016.
