(1) On 12 April 2007 an officer from the Investment Attraction Branch of the Department of Industry and Resources ("DoIR") spoke to the Chairman of UMC subsidiary as part of the process of preparing briefing notes for Minster Ripper's meeting with the company on its regional activities and aspirations. The company mentioned the TR and its aspirations should the current circumstances change. Beyond noting the company's views, no substantive discussion occurred.

(3) Officers from the Investment Attraction Branch of DoIR provided information on the status of the occupancy rights to the TR and certain public record geological data pertaining to the resources within the TR to Norsk Hydro's Vice President, Primary Metals from Norway on 17 October 2005.

(7) On 11 January 2007, officers from DoIR met with Mr Jeffrey Best, Senior Resource Geologist, Alcan Bauxite & Alumina Company. Two emails - one outlining the title and address of the Minister for State Development and the second enclosing a copy of the "Notice Concerning Assessments of Places for the National Heritage List" - were sent to Mr Best on 12 January 2007.
