supplementary question. Is it not the case that the minister's government found
time to rush its own legislative agenda, but after eight years still has not
fixed the act that local governments rely on every day?

It is very loose. As
I said, we acted very quickly when it came to the last disallowance that came through.
There are tools at councils' disposal with which they can force the behaviour
of cats in their communities. I completely reject the notion that the member
put forward that we have been slow in this space. The act has been under
review. We have made review announcements and we are now going to contain cats.
The Speaker: That concludes question time.
