Department of Industry and Resources
(1) The Department of Industry and Resources provides development opportunity for its staff to ensure that they are able to effectively carry out their duties in a dynamic environment. Any staff with reading and writing difficulties that affect their ability to carry out their duties would be offered these development opportunities.
(2) The Organisational Development Branch of the Department would assess the needs of any employee who is unable to perform their duties due to dyslexia with a view to providing assistance to enable that employee to carry out their responsibilities.
(3) Funding for this purpose would be provided from within the Department's existing budget allocation on an as needs basis.
(4) The Department's Organisational Development Branch is responsible for the development of specific policies and programs for the development of staff and also undertakes any research in this regard.

(1) The Authority has a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan which provides assistance for people with disabilities and this plan encompasses assistance for adults who are unable to read and write at the level they should.

(3) The Authority has not provided an amount of funding for policies, programs or research to assist people with dyslexia.
