The department supported the WA Commonwealth Games Association through a grant of $30 000 to take WA Commonwealth Games athletes to the Kimberley, Pilbara and Goldfield regions in 2006 following the 2006 Commonwealth Games. (2) The department required the West Coast Eagle players to promote the link between being physically active and achieving better educational outcomes during their school visits.
