(1) The number of courses offered by the State Training Providers, Curtin VTEC and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts is not collected by the Department of Training and Workforce Development. As such, the number of courses planned to be delivered by these training organisations in each year has been provided below.
(a) 722
(b) 754
(c) 761
(d) 717
(2) There was a decrease in the number of courses planned for delivery between 2010 and 2011. 162 courses were planned for delivery in 2010 that were not planned for delivery in 2011. Conversely, 118 courses were planned for delivery in 2011 that were not planned for delivery in 2010, creating a net difference of 44 courses.
It should be noted that fluctuation in the number of courses planned for delivery is due to the continuous national training package qualification review and replacement cycle, plus movement of training to more appropriate qualification levels within the same industry area.
A detailed list of course differences between 2010 and 2011 is contained in [Tabled Paper No.].
