I refer the Minister to the matter of two males, aged 15 and 18, who allegedly stole a car from Cottesloe and were subsequently involved in a police chase on 2 January 2023, as reported in The West Australian on 3rd January 2023, and ask: (a) What is the name of the adult 18 year old male; (b) What charges were laid against: (i) the 18 year old adult male; and (ii) the 15 year old juvenile male; (c) Have one or both had their cases dealt with through the Courts, and if not, why not; (d) If either person has been dealt with through the Courts, what was the outcome for each; (e) Did the Police apprehend two other people that were wanted in relation to this alleged car theft; and (f) If so, will the Minister provide details of their names, ages, charges laid against them and, if completed, the outcome of any Court appearance?

The Western Australia Police Force advise:
(a)   No 18-year-old male was involved in the incident.
(b)

ii.     15-year-old male: 2x Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit, 2x Aggravated Home Burglary with Intent, 2x Stealing, Steal Motor Vehicle (as defined in section 371A Criminal Code.), Trespass, Give False Personal Details to Police, Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis).
(c)   Yes.
(d)   Each were sentenced to 12-months imprisonment.
(e)   Yes, three other people.
