HOUSING — MACRO REALTY DEVELOPMENTS —
MEMBER FOR PILBARA
794. Mr F.M. LOGAN to the Minister for
Housing:
I have a supplementary question.
Last night, when the minister referred to the millions of dollars that have
been lost in property values by mums, dads and investors like those with Macro
Realty, he said, and I quote, ''We are glad that we have done it.''
Will the minister now apologise to those investors who may lose millions
invested with Macro due, in part, to the minister's implied support for
that company?
Mrs
G.J. Godfrey interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for Belmont, I call you to order
for the first time.

The member for Cockburn continues to
peddle complete rubbish in this Parliament.
Mr
F.M. Logan : You said it!
Mr
B.J. GRYLLS : He continues to peddle complete rubbish! He seeks to get my
words —
Mr F.M. Logan interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Cockburn, I call you to order for the first time.
Mrs
G.J. Godfrey interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for Belmont, that is enough.
Mr B.J. GRYLLS : In the debate yesterday, I said that I was
glad that the property market in the Pilbara has normalised so that mums and
dads can afford to live in the Pilbara.
Mr
F.M. Logan interjected.
Mr B.J. GRYLLS : As I pointed out in the debate yesterday,
member for Cockburn, that is the same policy that the opposition took to the election.
But, as I would expect it to do, it has no problem backflipping or not putting
forward a plan. As I said, the opposition has shrivelled up into such a small
political ball that we actually cannot see it. The Western Australian Liberal–National
government will stand on its record of normalising the Pilbara property market
and that has been good for the people of the Pilbara.
