HOUSING FIRST
HOMELESSNESS INITIATIVE
474. Hon JAMES HAYWARD to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Community Services:
I refer to the Housing First
Homelessness Initiative.
(1) Can the
minister please provide a breakdown of the $270 000 spent to 4 August 2021, and
specifically how much was spent on administration, staffing and direct
assistance for homeless people?
(2) How many
people has the Housing First Homelessness Initiative helped to find
accommodation for, resulting in those people no longer being homeless?
(3) Considering
the lack of available social housing in the short to medium term, will the
minister consider interim options for homeless people in Bunbury to provide a safe
and protected space for rough sleeping?
